Photography, Running & Merging Identities with Natalia González Acosta | EAPX 010
Natalia González Acosta is a Mexican-born photographic artist based in the UK. Her current project explores how cities shape women's experiences in public spaces.
In this conversation we discuss how she first got into photography, with her uncle Juan Manuel González de la Parra being a major influence. We talk about the duality of being an artist while working in the arts, the challenge of balancing a full-time job with creative practice, and what it means to carry your Mexican heritage while building a life in the UK—and how art-making can become an essential tool for sensemaking across cultural differences.
Natalia brings a perspective shaped by migration, by patience, and by the belief that rest is essential to creativity.
